Job Description:
• Position could potentially be located in either George Town or Bayan Lepas areas.
• Where appropriate, either lead or participate in collaborative multi-region/ plant/division, cross-functional commodity teams to develop actionable low cost sourcing opportunities, as well as manage the supply base within the low cost region.
• Understand and monitor current regional commodity market conditions/trends, developing technologies, supply chain capacity/ capability, product knowledge, customer requirements and supply/demand challenges.
• With Corporate Commodity Managers and Divisional Commodity Managers, facilitate the selection, development, and management of low cost region Strategic Suppliers to meet commodity cost and performance goals. Emphasis will be to identify cost targets for relevant technology and product roadmaps.
• Assist Commodity Managers in developing and implementing commodity management strategies including supplier assessments and rationalization, negotiation for best total cost of ownership, make vs. buy analyses, vendor managed inventories, inventory reduction programs, cycle time improvements, security of supply, continuous improvement, EDI, and procurement/ engineering collaboration.
• Develop, implement and manage low cost regional proposal activities.
• Establish a strong network and foster collaboration with customers, suppliers, key stakeholders, and category team members.
• Implement Corporate & Divisional initiatives to meet desired business goals/objectives.
• Establish, implement and report on specific, actionable, measurable and achievable, time specific goals and objectives.
• Knowledgeable of military, space and commercial product sourcing
• Travel approximately 40-65%.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Materials Management, or Technical Field or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 5-10 years of commodity management experience in both electrical and mechanical commodities required.
• Must have a background in Supply Chain, Operations and/or Engineering.
• Global experience required.
• Must be able to proficiently speak, read & write English in addition to local language.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Master's degree, CPM or CPIM preferred.
• Strong understanding of Sourcing and Sourcing related activities.
• Demonstrated multi-category expertise.
• Demonstrated negotiation skills.
• Ability to understand and implement lean manufacturing, pull systems, and inventory reduction methods.
• Understanding of general finance and make/buy analysis.
• Understanding of Contractual Terms and Conditions and how to mitigate risk.
• Understanding of the legalities of ethical purchasing behaviors and the ability to work with Legal on assuring those aspects.
• Ability to interact/collaborat e with upper management and within a team environment.

• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.

BAHAGIA

John C Maxwell suatu ketika dahulu pernah ditugaskan menjadi seorang

penceramah di
sebuah seminar bersama isterinya.
Dia dan isterinya, Margaret, diminta menjadi penceramah pada beberapa sesi
secara terpisah. Ketika Maxwell sedang menjadi penceramah, isterinya
selalu duduk di barisan paling hadapan dan mendengar seminar suaminya..
Sebaliknya, ketika Margaret sedang menjadi penceramah di salah satu sesi,
suaminya selalu menemaninya dari bangku paling depan.

Ceritanya, suatu ketika sang isteri, Margaret, sedang menjadi peceramah
di salah satu sesi seminar tentang kebahagiaan. Seperti biasa, Maxwell
duduk di bangku paling depan dan mendengarkannya. Dan di akhir sesi, semua
pengunjung bertepuk tangan. seminar selalunya didefinisikan sebuah majlis

yang ada interaksi
dua arah dari peserta seminar juga kan ? (Kalau satu arah itu namanya
khutbah.)

Dalam sesi soal jawab itu, setelah beberapa pertanyaan, seorang ibu
mengacungkan tangannya untuk bertanya. Ketika diberikan kesempatan,
pertanyaan ibu itu seperti ini, "Miss Margaret, apakah suami Anda
membuat Anda bahagia?"

Seluruh ruangan langsung terdiam. Satu pertanyaan yang bagus. Dan semua
peserta tidak sabar menunggu jawaban Margaret. Margaret kelihatan berpikir
beberapa saat dan kemudian menjawab, "Tidak."

Seluruh ruangan langsung terkejut. "Tidak," katanya sekali lagi, "John
Maxwell tidak boleh membuatku bahagia." Seisi ruangan langsung menoleh ke
arah Maxwell. (betapa malunya Maxwell saat itu.) Dan Maxwell juga
menoleh-noleh mencari pintu keluar. Rasanya ingin cepat-cepat keluar.
Malu ui!

Kemudian, lanjut Margaret, "John Maxwell adalah seorang suami yang
sangat baik. Ia tidak pernah berjudi, mabuk-mabuk, curang. Dia
setia, selalu memenuhi keperluan saya, baik jasmani mahupun rohani. Tapi,
tetap dia tidak dapat membuatku rasa bahagia.."

Tiba-tiba ada suara bertanya, "Mengapa?"

"Karana," jawabnya, "tidak ada seorang pun di dunia ini yang bertanggung
jawab atas kebahagiaanku selain diriku sendiri."

Dengan kata lain, maksud dari Margaret adalah, tidak ada orang lain yang
boleh membuatmu bahagia. Baik itu pasangan hidupmu, sahabatmu, kewangmu,
hobimu. Semua itu tidak boleh membuatmu bahagia. Kerana yang boleh membuat
dirimu bahagia adalah dirimu sendiri.

Kamu bertanggung jawab atas dirimu sendiri. Kalau kamu sering merasa
bersyukur, tidak pernah punya perasaan ambil hati, selalu percaya diri,
kamu tidak akan merasa sedih. Sesungguhnya pola pemikiran kita yang
menentukan apakah kita bahagia atau tidak, bukan faktor luar.

Bahagia atau tidaknya hidupmu bukan ditentukan oleh seberapa kaya
dirimu, seberapa cantik istrimu, atau sesukses apa hidupmu. Ini masalah
pilihan: apakah kamu memilih untuk bahagia atau tidak .

My name is Nick Vujicic and I was born without limbs and doctors have no medical explanation for this birth 'defect'. As you can imagine, I was faced with many challenges and obstacles.
Their firstborn son had been born without limbs! There were no warnings or time to prepare themselves for it. The doctors were shocked and had no answers at all! There is still no medical reason why this had happened and Nick now has a Brother and Sister who were born just like any other baby.

I am now twenty-three years old and have completed a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Financial Planning and Accounting. I am also a motivational speaker and love to go out and share my story and testimony wherever opportunities become available.
